    Improving Peer Review: Let’s Provide an Ingredients List for Our Readers

    Nobody knows what a “gold standard” for peer review is because nobody can see it across journals. Each paper is different, but how different is the peer review? Right now, we’re working on assumptions and trusting that various black boxes are functioning more or less the same.

      Hard for me to understand why open acess couldn't set up a kind of black box peeping eye. Of course, it look a little be "scabrous", but as a neophyte about this subject, this article didn't fully satisfay me.
      Too long on the beginning, and too short at the end !

      I will write an article about the subject (open acess and peer reviewing)... want to explore further this unknow territory since a while !
