Science in Europe is blog : check it out! It attempts to promote best practices in science communication & dissemination within European Research Area. I am trying to highlight innovative actions, dissemination-oriented projects, and to interview interesting people. I hope you will enjoy it!
Do not hesitate to contact me, or to ask to collaborate to the blog/ weblist, I am pretty open-minded. I am Gilles Grenot, you can find me on twitter as well @ggrenot or directly @scienceInEurope
Here is a very good dissemination work of PHD Comics I want to share with you, which explains what it is, and which illustrates very well how innovative communication serves, if properly achieved, a better understanding of science. Congrats to Jorge Cham who did the job!
Among all the tweets I’ve seen, a lot of them dealt with how great this discovery is, and also how bad and shameful the presentation slides were, using Comic Sans font. CBC News Community has storified some of these comments.
Although intentions of the EU are good, boost and balance presence of women in labs, the trailer campaign was considered an offense, insulting women and scientists at once. The schocking video was very fast and widely badbuzzing all around social media.
This is to me a very good piece of dissemination here every FP7 project leader should inspire from. Excellent work for children and wide audience to understand what the project was about. I will try to get into more details in the future and find how it was created.
