Rewalk is a webdocumentary which was created to introduce and promote the FP7 project NEWWALK, which developped successfully new therapy for paralysed rate to walk again with repairing their spinal cord.

If there were science communication VIPs or rockstars, Michel Claessens would probably be among them. I had the chance to meet him at the “Journées Hubert Curien” in Nancy, France, gathering researchers and professionals to talk about science communication.

Last week, I attended the “Journées Hubert Curien” in Nancy, France. This event gathered researchers, PhDs and professionals from 67 different countries to discuss about science communication. I really enjoyed it and now I want to share with you some of what may be of your interest as well.

KiiCS is a project funded under the European Commission (Science in Society programme) which started in 2012. One of its prime aims is to “incubate” art, science and technology through multidisciplinary actions.

ACTIVE is a research project which aims to increase productivity of knowledge workers. The video explains how ACTIVE’s solution can reduce information overload, establish effective knowledge management, and improve the overall performance of entreprises.

While being at the European Science Open Forum (#ESOF2012) and touring around from a booth to another in the “Forum” area, I have met Helga Treiber, a great person to talk to when it deals to science communication and European Research.

Infography is great way to present data in a visual and even esthetical way. Within 20 minuts, I was able to make the infography you can watch above. I am very satisfied and I encourage you to try yourself to give your data some more visual impact.

The European Science Open Forum in Dublin last week was the opportunity for me to attend to an all range of science sessions and workshops. A good place for networking actually. Here I would only like to share something I’ve seen there, something you might not be familiar with : the elevator pitch.

Last week, as I was at ESOF. I had the chance to attend to a great workshop about science communication. I guess I have to share it with you. Lots of tips, a lot of enthusiasm, many young researchers were by the way in the room, I believe it was a very successful session.
